As the leaves turn golden and the nights draw in, what better way to celebrate the season than by curling up with a good book and a warming beverage?

Below are some of our favourite autumnal stories for children. You could use them as a way to teach younger children about the seasonal changes that the autumn brings, or as the inspiration for some fantastic creative writing!

1. The Very Helpful Hedgehog by Rosie Wellesley

For young children, Wellesley’s bright and welcoming tale teaches the importance of friendship, set against the cosy backdrop of autumn.
